king’s ransom
We called her King’s Ransom because that’s what it cost to buy and that’s what it costs to run! King’s Ransom is a 46’ Jeanneau Prestige. Overall, she is 48’ and is powered by 2 Volvo 480hp engines giving 960hp in total, consuming 196 litres of fuel per hour. We carry 1.5 tonnes of fuel which give us a range of 280 miles on one full tank of fuel.
Meet our crew
Dan has a commercially endorsed advanced powerboat license with all the relevant safety certificates, including Sea Survival, First Aid, RYA professional practices and responsibilities certificate, and VHF license.
Having spent many years working in the hospitality sector, Georgina takes care of all bookings and finance, and holds a Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety (Catering) certificate. Passionate about customer experience, Georgina is a crew and hostess on all sailings.
Georgina and Dan have owned several boats over the years and have all the required safety certifications.
Beth is following in her father’s footsteps and has completed her STCW course, which includes Powerboat level 2, Sea survival, First Aid, Fire prevention and Fire fighting, RYA short-range VHF certificate and RYA Professional practices and responsibilities.
Crew members have also completed relevant safety certificates, ensuring you are in safe hands.

Keeping you safe on your charter is our top priority. Our vessel has all the required safety equipment needed for up to 12 guests and 2 crew. We ask that you act responsibly respect our skipper and crew at all times and follow their instructions.

Wow, what a fabulous day we had with you yesterday. Everything was excellently planned, you had matters well in hand to help Christine get on and off, you could not have been more helpful or charming. This had been a worry for me as I obviously wanted her to get full enjoyment of the day. The whole process from my initial enquiry right the way through to the actual day was a very pleasant process. It was a delight to meet you and Dan and highly amusing when Dan discovered that Steve Hyland once of Radio Mercury was a passenger. His expression much like the whole day will live long in my memory.
