Scattering ashes at sea is a beautiful and symbolic way to say farewell to one who had a connection to the sea. This farewell can be deeply meaningful.
You can recite a few words, read a poem, or play music. Some prefer a moment of silence allowing the gentle waves and open horizon to speak for themselves. You can invite close friends and family along as our charter boat is fully insured to accommodate up to 12 people.
Ashes are harmless the ocean and we can also provide bio degradable pillow urn made from paper and organic ink. Once placed in the water the urn floats briefly before gracefully sinking beneath the water where it will break down over the next few hours.
We have found some beautiful places along the Solent where ashes can be scattered with the Isle of Wight as a wonderful picturesque backdrop.
For many it’s comforting to know that their loved one’s final resting place is within the ever-changing, yet timeless embrace of the sea.
